Today's Key West Photo New Year's Eve 2005-2006 I took this photo this morning. Another Key West New Year's tradition is at Sloppy Joes, where at midnight tonight they will drop this Conch Shell to bring in the new years. Other ceremonies on the island include lowering a Wench from the mast of a schooner at Schooner's Warf bar, and lowering a transvestite in a big red pump (shoe). The chamber of commerce fireworks will be at White Street pier at midnight. |
